2009 was a tough year with falling demand and squeezed margins for many of our customers.  Despite the difficult conditions, we are grateful that we were still able to keep new product developments and tool deliveries on track thanks to good cooperation with our suppliers and customers.  I would like to thank all our customers for the confidence you show in our company by continuing to place orders with Evatec at a time when capital spending is restricted, and for all your invaluable feedback helping us improve our portfolio of products and services.  

For 2010 I am cautiously optimistic that we will see growth in niche markets within optoelectronics whilst in others we shall see signs of recovery.   As we set out in the new year I wish you much success and hope that we shall have an opportunity to meet either here at Evatec or at the many events we shall attend during the year.
